TV Fact #113 – February 2nd, 2015:

Long before Jennifer Worth’s memoirs were filmed into “Call the Midwife” (2012-Present), she spotted actress Miranda Hart and knew that she would be perfect to play the character Chummy Browne, the six-foot-tall, ungainly, clumsy midwife who features in her books. Miranda agreed to take the role of Chummy if the books were ever filmed and so it came to be.

Movie Fact #752 – February 2nd, 2015:

In the 2003 film “Bruce Almighty”, the lead character Bruce Nolan (Played by Jim Carrey) comments to Irene Dansfield (Played by Selma Stern),

“Anyway, I’m here with Katherine Hepburn’s mom. Tell me, why did you toss the “blue heart of the ocean” jewel over the railing of Titanic? Did you feel bad at all letting Leo DiCaprio drown, while you were safe floating on the big door? Could you have taken turns, or were you just too afraid to freeze your big fat ass off.”

This comment actually was an interesting precursor to Carrey’s next film, 2004’s “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” which saw him co-star with actress Kate Winslet who is, of course, most famous for playing the lead character Rose DeWitt Bukater in 1997’s “Titanic”. That’s a movie fact you can never let go of. Oh come on, I had to say it.
