David Mamet, a playwright, was the writer-director of the 1997 film “The Spanish Prisoner”. Mamet is famous for his dialogues, which are characterized by incomplete sentences, foul language, stutters, and interruptions; it is known as “Mamet-speak”. That may seems strange but are not the flaws of a character just as important as his virtues? His inconsistent speaking, his bad language, his incompetence. People are both virtues and vices are they not?
