TV Fact #208 – May 20th, 2015:

The Canadian police drama “Rookie Blue” (2010-Present) saw a reunion between two actors who had worked together as kids in the 90’s. Those actors are actor Gregory Smith, who plays the character Dov Epstein, and actress Charlotte Sullivan, who plays the character Gail Peck. They had previously worked together in the popular 1996 film “Harriet the Spy”, a film adaptation of the 1964 novel of the same name by Louise Fitzhugh.

In the film, Smith played the character Simon “Sport” Rocque who is one of the best friends of the lead character Harriet M. Welsch (Played by Michelle Trachtenberg) and Sullivan played the character Marion Hawthorne who is the enemy to Harriet and her friends, including “Sport”. Interestingly, in both “Harriet the Spy” and “Rookie Blue”, Smith’s and Sullivan’s characters didn’t get along well at the beginning of the story. Somethings never change, no matter how old you get.
