TV Fact #234 – June 15th, 2015:

The show “Benson” (1979-1986) marked the acting debut of a then-unknown young comedian, Jerry Seinfeld who played a small role as the character Frankie, a delivery boy and unsuccessful comedian, for three episodes in 1980…how it ended was somewhat cruel. Seinfeld actually arrived at work one morning and found that there was no script waiting for him. When he asked why, he was told that he had been fired. Turns out he was asked to leave due to creative differences. I wonder what could have been that bad he was just dropped like that.
