Movie Fact #808 – July 10th, 2015:

Actress Minnie Driver made her feature film debut in the 1995 film “Circle of Friends”, based on the novel of the same name written by author Maeve Binchy, as the lead character Bernadette “Benny” Hogan. Sadly, she had to go through a lot to pull it off. To make her co-star, actor Chris O’Donnell who played the lead character Jack Foley, appear to be much taller than Driver than he really is, she had to walk in a ditch when they were filming the scene of their stroll in Knockglen. Also, Driver gained 30 pounds for the role. Never can say she didn’t have the commitment necessary to succeed.
