Movie Fact #825 – July 27th, 2015:

The 1973 film “The Offence”, based upon the 1968 stage play This Story of Yours by John Hopkins, took just one month to film, at a low cost of $1 million. Despite this and excellent notices, sadly it failed to make any profit for nine years. In fact, it went unreleased in several countries including the major market of France. Even sadder, a good little gem of a film like this only gets notice a decade later after it was made. Sometimes, good films aren’t discovered right away.
