Movie Fact #862 – September 1st, 2015:

The 2000 action/heist film “Gone in 60 Seconds” may not have ever been a critical success but it garnered a cult popularity over the years. More importantly, it holds one specific distinction or, specifically, the trailer for the film. The film’s trailer was narrated by Melissa Disney, a female, so you can imagine the film is widely credited as one of the first major movies to employ a female trailer voice. The last name is not a coincidence. Besides Disney being the daughter of actress Louise Gallagher and writer Carl Femling, as well as the granddaughter of silent actress Tara Gallagher, Melissa Disney is in fact a distant relative of Walt Disney. Guess a little Disney magic was needed to give women a chance…not a bad magic to have though I’d say.
