Movie Fact #856 – September 15th, 2015:

The 1949 film “Prince of Foxes”, adapted from author Samuel Shellabarger’s 1947 historical novel “Prince of Foxes”, had most of its scenes shot on the exact locations in Italy and San Marino, with all the studio work done at Cinecittà Studios. However, Citta del Monte is a fictional place so obviously that wasn’t shot on location.

Hey, can’t get everything exact when fiction comes into play. It doesn’t exactly play by real geography all the time.
