Movie Fact #853 – October 12th, 2015:

Actor Daniel Day-Lewis, actress Michelle Pfeiffer and actress Winona Ryder were all director Martin Scorsese’s first choices for the lead roles of Newland Archer, Ellen Olenska, and May Welland, respectively, for the 1993 American film “The Age of Innocence”, adapted from author Edith Wharton’s 1920 novel of the same name. Guess the Rolling Stones were right. You can’t always get what you want…but that means sometimes you do.
