TV Fact #365 – October 23rd, 2015:

The American animated series “George of the Jungle” (September 9, 1967 – December 30, 1967) was only 17 episodes long. This was due to financial loss because the series’ production ran over-budget. This was, in turn, because co-creator Jay Ward was so pleased with the series which had better animation that his previous shows due to the series’ animation production being done in Hollywood while Ward’s earlier series originated from a Mexican studio sponsored by Ward himself.
