Movie Fact #883 – November 11th, 2015:

The 1957 black-and-white film “The Strange One”, adapted from a novel and stage play by author and playwright Calder Willingham called “End as a Man” (A title of which the film is sometimes referred to as well), was the film debut of actor Ben Gazzara, Julie Wilson, and George Peppard.

Gazzara played the lead character Cadet Sgt. Jocko De Paris, Wilson played the character Peonie aka “Rosebud”, and Peppard played the character Cadet Robert Marquales. Of course two of them just happened to play cadets, the starting rank of the military. So I guess this was their, I guess, “Cadet Debut”?
