TV Fact #400 – November 27th, 2015:

The American sitcom “Two Guys and a Girl” co-starred a young Ryan Reynolds in the lead role of Michael Eugene Leslie “Berg” Bergen. The show featured a fictional pizza place called Beacon Street Pizza. The show was cancelled in 2001 but Reynolds wasn’t done with the show yet.

While in Boston to promote his 2002 film ” National Lampoon’s Van Wilder”, Reynolds tried to actually locate Beacon Street Pizza, not realizing that it was fictional.

The fictional “Beacon Street Pizza” is actually based on a real pizza restaurant though by the name of Theo’s Pizza in Teele Square, Somerville, Massachusetts. It was where the show’s co-creator Kenny Schwartz worked delivering pizzas while attending nearby Tufts University.
