Movie Fact #907 – December 5th, 2015:

The 1960 American western film “The Magnificent Seven” was followed by three sequels. 1966’s “Return of the Seven”, 1969’s “Guns of the Magnificent Seven”, and 1972’s “The Magnificent Seven Ride”.

Now almost no cast member reprised their role from the first one with only actor Yul Brynner returning as Chris Adams for the first sequel, 1966’s “Return of the Seven”. After that he was also recast for the third and fourth sequel. There is, however, one person who remained for all four films and that was composer Elmer Bernstein. I guess he was irreplaceable.
