Movie Fact #913 – December 11th, 2015:

The 1971 satirical comedy film “Cold Turkey”, based on the unpublished novel “I’m Giving Them Up for Good” by authors Margaret and Neil Rau, was completed in 1969 but didn’t get released till 1971. It didn’t help that crazy stuff happened like the end (midnight) town square gathering having to actually be shot at 1:00am. The reason for this was the crew had to wait for the local high school band to arrive because the band had a football game to play in and they held up shooting for some time, because they were late to get to the set.
