Movie Fact #915 – December 13th, 2015:

The upcoming 2016 film “Tulip Fever”, adapted from a novel by author Deborah Moggach, is actually a resurrected film. See this film was seven weeks away from shooting in 2004 actually. The film, however, had to be shut down when the British government shuttered a tax break program, the $45 million budget grew by about $17 million. It was only thanks to Ruby Films recently that the film has been resurrected and the budget has been slim down to $25 million.
