Movie Fact #921 – December 19th, 2015:

The 1984 American drama film “A Soldier’s Story”, based upon playwright Charles Fuller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Off Broadway production “A Soldier’s Play”, features the character Pvt. Henson, who was played by William Allen Young in the film version. However, in the original Off Broadway performance, actor Samuel L. Jackson actually originated the role. Guess Jackson really has been in everything, in one way or another.
